When I think back to the mid 2000s (especially '05 and '06), I remember it as being a bit of a boring and lonely time for me at home. The housing estate I live in was built back in the mid '90s, so all of the original kids had either grown up or moved away by the time I started school. I was an only child who grew up in a single-parent household and there were hardly any kids who lived in my neighbourhood. I can only speak from my own personal experience, but the reason why I tend not to talk about them as much is because the late 2000s were just simply a better time for me overall.
